All references to “we”, “us” and “ours” are to SPCK, The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, which is an Anglican mission agency and a charity registered in England and Wales (no. 231144), the address of whose registered office is 36 Causton Street, London SW1P 4ST, United Kingdom.
Please note, our text donation line is now closed. Please do not text this number. You may be charged, but we won’t receive anything and neither will you.
Following your text of PRAYER to 70099 we will contact you by SMS to collect your postal address in order to send your prayer booklet. Once we have done so, we will not contact you again without your consent. However, you can sign up for our Prayers on the Move newsletter by visiting www.prayersonthemove.com or emailing email@example.com, if you do wish to keep in touch.
If you wish to discuss this mobile payment, please call 0845 082 9622 to speak to the provider of our donate service (whose details are given below) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SPCK will not be liable for delays in receiving or failures to receive any SMS messages, as delivery is subject to transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile phone device.
You must allow 28 days for delivery to a UK address of the prayer booklet. We do not accept responsibility for items lost or delayed in the post. This booklet will only be sent to UK addresses. For addresses outside the UK, you will need to download our free e-booklet via SPCK’s website, www.spck.org.uk.
General information about SMS donations
Text-to-donate is a quick and easy way to donate to SPCK. If you have already texted a donation, we would like to thank you for your generosity. SPCK will receive 98% of all such text donations. Because we cannot guarantee to run Prayers on the Move after the current campaign has concluded, all donations will be unrestricted in their use. To find out more about how SPCK uses your donations, please visit www.spck.org.uk/about-spck or download our annual report here.
The Prayers on the Move campaign is live until the closing date shown below:
Text PRAYER to 70099 to give £1 and receive your prayer booklet until 30 April 2016.
Please note that if you send a text after the closing date or you get the keyword or short code wrong when you text, you may still be charged your standard network message charge. In the unlikely event that the incorrect keyword and short code match another fundraising campaign, you may still be charged a donation, but you won’t be donating to SPCK.
You can only donate via SMS from a UK mobile phone number. You cannot donate using this service from a mobile phone number from the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or elsewhere.
If you donate using this service from a UK mobile abroad, you may incur additional network charges.
You must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. You must be 16 years old or over to send a text donation.
There is no limit on the number of times you may make a donation via text, but there is a daily limit of £30 on text donations. You will not be able to donate more by text from the same number on the same day, but you may still incur your standard network message charge if you try. You will only be able to receive one booklet per household. If you would like to donate more, please visit www.spck.org.uk.
This SMS service is being provided for SPCK by Cymba Integrated Solutions Ltd, 36 Gloucester Avenue, London, NW1 7BB.
Text-to-donate enables you to donate to SPCK. Once we have received your postal address and sent your prayer booklet to you, we will not contact you again without your consent. However, you can opt out at any time by:
- Texting STOP to 70099. (You may be charged one standard rate text message to send an opt-out text. This is charged by your network provider.)
If you have any other questions, please contact SPCK on 020 7592 3900 (available 9.00am–5pm in the UK).
